Bruce Willis in "Die Hard"... what gun is he using ?

    Ok, it's gun related.

I couldn't identify the handgun, that Bruce Willis is using in "Die Hard".
    Who's got a clue ?

Also, what is the supposed 'machine gun' he is using that he steals for the first terrorist ?

It's really bugging me, but I wondered if it's a SIG.

As far as I remember it's a Beretta 92 for Bruce, and he takes an MP-5 from the BG.

Use the Internet Movie Firearm Database! It's a great site:

Main Page - imfdb :. guns in movies :. movie guns :. the internet movie firearms database

No matter the gun used, I did enjoy the movie.

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness,
nor the arrow for its swiftness,
nor the warrior for his glory.
I love only that which they defend.

Yep, I think it was both Die Hard and Lethal Weapon that really launched the 92 into pop culture consciousness. I remember watching the scene in Lethal Weapon where Gibson almost shoots himself and thinking that was the coolest looking gun.

I thought Bruce was using a "Glock 7" that's made of ceramic and goes thru airport security.

That's what I thought at first, but convinced myself it couldn't be. Ah well, it is a 92F

    Thanks guys.

Ah.. there's the sub-machine gun : Heckler & Koch HK94 chopped and converted to resemble an MP5A3.

HAHA. No that was back in the '80s when they trusted cops and you didn't have to take a special federal class and then ask the pilots permission to carry your gun when you flew on planes.

For bonus points, name the firearm the tall blond haired bad guy was carrying, and the pistol carried by the head bad guy.
