Too bad you can't see the ringing in his ears from shooting with no hearing protection... :)

Maybe he's already deaf. If not he will be.

Shooting outside, in the open, no reverberating walls nearby, he is good to go. It is amazing how the sound dissapates outdoors.

I don't see millions of hunters deafened by their rifles, which are louder than that pistol.

    GREAT PICTURE!

    Nice M&P too!

Gotta agree with this.....never ever wore hearing protection when hunting, whether it be Deer, Dove, Quail or whatever....

Then some of you guys have never shot a gun with a muzzle brake. It doesn't matter how open your surroundings are. It's L-O-U-D!!!

Now that I think of it my .357 with a ported barrel is pretty darn loud too.

Is the muzzle of the gun pointing right, or left?

    !
Agreed. One thing I have noticed since coming to gun boards is the hearing protection stuff. Sure when I have gone to an indoor range I've used it. But outside? I grew up shooting everything that went 'POW', spent hours plinking away at cans, and just never had a problem. I hear fine.
Some of you guys probably wouldn't even plink a can with a 22 without ear muffs.

Fast lens/camera to get that action shot. I love the HDR images too.
