OK so I have warned in previous posts of fellow Glock owner s replacing their Slide plates with ones that had engraved designs...such as skull/crossbones, and the Punisher symbol, etc....but I found this on GB. How many of you wold actually install this on a firearm you owned? Would you be prepared to defend its installation of your firearm to LE or a court? I am relatively young at 32...but am i just being old fashioned and a little up tight?

That would be extremely moronic to install on a gun. I think the skulls might even be taking it too far for a SD weapon.

Up tight? Well, I guess that depends on your stand on legalizing pot. Me, I KNOW I'm old-fashioned and would never put that or any of the others you mentioned on mine.

People talk about stuff like this all the time, whether it be skull grips, slide plate, modified barrell, ETC. Yes an attorney could say you were out "looking" for someone to shoot, but as far as the laws are in my state, as long as it's a good shoot the rest doesn't matter! If I was legally able to be where I am, and the subject threatened me, it should not matter what I use to defend myself. A gun, bat, anything at my disposal and if I was legally justified in defending myself, the rest plain does not matter.

The pot leaf on a gun is probably not a good idea. I am always amazed at people who put bumper sticker on there car advertising their love of alcohol, drugs, guns or their dislike of cops. Three of those give you a better chance of being pulled over and as for gun bumperstickers, obviously we here on the forum like our guns, but don't advertise to someone that there may be a gun inside the car waiting to be stolen.

My guns are tools, not fashion pieces. I'll stick with the one Glock put on there.

No skulls, Punisher, drug references, "have a nice day" recoil plugs, anything.

I do have a 1911 with a pair of antique shell cameos mounted in polymer faux ivory (off white Corian) grips though.

I wouldn't do it because it's pointless, but I think you really have to use your imagination to envision having to defend it to a cop or jury. I mean, all it really says is, "I've got horrible taste and I like weed or support its legalization." It's not illegal to be an idiot.
