    A small tutorial

Something cool to do with Glow-On:
You need a small flashlight and a little Glow-On paint.

All you do is apply the paint around the front lens of your lamp and wait for it to dry.
Here are some pictures of the finished job and the effect:

    Here with the light on:

Here when the light is off:

One more thing to help you find the lamp in the dark in a jiffy, if you are camping out there and the lamp falls, just in case.

I remember one time I dropped a friends cool lighter over a grassy patch in the dark and we never found it, he still pesters me about it.

So one could say, you can use Glow-On paint to keep your silly friends from loosing your stuff.

A couple of additions to our shopping cart.

First, for the guys for which bigger is better the larger vial is on the menu already,

As of lately we've received so many requests who want a bigger size, so here it is.

Second, we've automated the manufacture of the Glow-On self adhesive, it is better now, it has a longer afterglow and we are able to offer a better price so we've more than double the amount on the option with self adhesive.

So now one has more to play with, how about that.

So please visit glow-on.com and check it out

    One customer posted:

"I looked at a couple photos from the manufacturer...especially the one above that shows the strips on the mag - really? That glow isn't going to be there in the middle of the night, unless you first shine a BRIGHT light on it first!!"

It requires o bit of mind juice for it to work.

Here is the fact; A big enough piece on the bottom of your mags will make the gun location visible all night long. I can see my firearm as soon as I enter my bed room; a quick scan around and i know my gun's location. In the world of Glow, bigger is better by the way so we've increased the amount of self adhesive on Option 2. USD10.89

Here is the secret: even when the eye is fully adapted to the dark, the center of vision registers a black blob since most daylight sensitive cells are located precisely there and they are not well adapted to work in the dark.
Peripheral vision, on the other hand, is used extensively during night vision, a quick scan around and you can see it.

Which by the way is how it is going to work in the middle of the night. One wakes up, looks around, a quick scan to find the position of the object and one goes for it; VS. one wakes up and wonders, where the hell is that thing, and fumbles around hoping to find it...wasting precious seconds which can make the difference between survival or extinction.

Remember in a gun fight, whomever shoots first, he GETS to shoot.

Try it, put a piece of self adhesive on the wall, about one square inch, you'll be aware of its location any time during the night. Have your spouse change the location randomly (On a visible spot of course, not under the bed, lol). We've tested this fact over and over with light switches, TV remotes, flashlights.

Glow-On, better self adhesive, more for same price.

The new version of the Glow-On paint plus self adhesive for gun sights bring more of the new phosphorescent self adhesive material, better quality.

Here is a photo of the old version:

Here is the new content, a better product, charges almost instantaneously and glows fiercely:

This Option 2 is only USD10.89 plus S&H
One can use the super concentrated paint directly to paint the white dots on the firearms sights, or one can use the self adhesive to make big super visible rear sights for any firearm or just cut glow dots for the same sights if one so prefers. One word comes to mind: Flexibility.

Here is a video on how to apply it:

Glow-on gun sight paint tutorial video

Here is the most basic tutorial about how to apply the phosphorescent paint to your gun sights in a jiffy.

This tutorial doesn't deal with the merits of the product itself, just its application.

This product ads an edge to those gun enthusiasts for whose guns, tritium is not an option, or just don't want to spend a lot of money.
Glow-On efficiently enhances white dots on the gun sights by adding phosphorescence to the mix.

A gun owner, properly trained, will find this product helpful in cases in which prompt action without delay or hesitation is required to defend life and property.

Glow-On gun sights paint will stand the test.

Please make sure it dries thoroughly and then apply a couple of small dots of transparent nail polish, it adds a smooth protective coat.

    Glow-On gun sights paint FAQ

How long does it glow in the dark when exposed to light?
How long do the dots glow in the complete dark if left in a gun safe for days on end?

    I'll try to simplify.
Glow-On made of inorganic matter but behaves somehow like it is alive.
It absorbs light and in return it emits glow, this is called a glow cycle.
The brighter the light it absorbs, the brighter and longer the the glow it emits.
If you store your gun in side a safe, the Glow-On is like dormant, it will charge in a couple of second under a small tactical led lamp.

How long does the glow last?
A glow cycle goes like this:
Firs it absorbs light, a couple of seconds under a 9 led flashlight will get it glowing. It glows super bright for about the first 5 minutes. For the next 30-40 minutes the glow fades to a level where it can be perceived only in the dark. After that, for the next 6-8 hours it emits a whitish ghost glow clearly visible in the dark, if you have been in the dark for thirty minutes and your eyes are adapted to night vision.

*Some reviews to the fact that it only glows for 5 minutes are referring to the first stage of the glow.

In the presence of daylight, Glow-On remains charged, or it will charge instantaneously when you unholster your firearm, if you enter an enclosed area like a barn, your home, etc. your sights are very bright, saving brain cycles so you can focus on the task at hand.

So what is the real advantage of having Glow-on on your sights?
Well, white paint, colored paint or just plain military style iron sights don't glow.
So Glow-On adds something extra to he equation, for the price of a fast food lunch.

How long will the paint last?
I will last for at least ten years, the glow cycle can be repeated millions of times with no efficiency change.

Do I have to apply it often?
    Not at all.

How do I take care of it?
After you apply it to your sights, you let it dry for 24 hours, apply a couple of layers of transparent nail polish to give it a smooth surface, that's it.
Just wipe the residue after a shooting session at the range with a wet paper towel.

    What is Glow-On?
It is a concentrated premium phosphorescent paint made with special resins and solids, it dries solid to the consistency of synthetic cement, it is non flammable, non radioactive, non toxic.

    What Glow-On is not.
Glow on is not a substitute for tritium, laser sights, red or green dots, scopes, night vision, tactical lamps or common sense. It can double as night sights, if you know how to use it, we don't recommend anyone to go into the dark shooting shadows, you'll need light, a tactical lamp or your home lights to see what you are about shoot.
It can also be used along some of this systems.

    Is it perfect?
No it is not, but neither are the systems mentioned above, they will fail and Glow-On is not the exception (Murphy's law).

    Paint your sights

This is was a case of old soiled gun sights.
A small vial will last about 15 pistols. The medium vial should last about 30. Few people has so many guns, but, one can still use Glow-On on fishing lures
