Sure, but 99.9% of the Glock "kabooms" have been with reloaded ammo AND in .40 caliber.

I don't own a Glock, but let's be fair here. I have owned two Tauruses ("Taurii?" whatever) and they've both been a pain.

I buy nothing but Taurus these days. They are disposable guns and where else can I get gold plated accents for cheap prices?

Cheaper than an S&W or Ruger ??...... and with good reason, Taurus guns have LOTS of problems. I have had two of their problem guns and would not risk buying another. Would NOT willingly buy another Taurus product, when there are other better brands available, like S&W and Ruger. If you want to save a few bucks, find a used S&W J Frame or Ruger SP 101, Security Six or GP100

If I remember correctly, I paid something like $399.00 for my PT145. But then when it did nothing but jam, I paid (I *think*) $49.99 each for the new factory magazines which got it to run somewhat right. I didn't feel like waiting six months or more for Taurus to "eventually" replace them in their own sweet time.

So in doing the math, with taxes included, I wound up with about $550.00 in this gun. For not much more money, I could have bought something like a Glock, another XD, or even an S&W M&P .45 and had better quality and much better customer support. That's not to mention a very good possibility of sparing myself all that grief.

I love all revolvers! I carry either a Ruger LCR or a Taurus 85. Great guns...shoot where I aim them...and easily concealable. I know others have had bad experiences...but I haven't and carry one today.

    I love Taurus

My wife has had a Stainless Model 85 for 15 years and recently got the Ultra-lite Model 85. The stainless has around 2000 rds through it without a problems any where.

I have a Taurus 92 that was given to me as a gift and, after several thousand rounds through it, it is also flawless. As good as the original Beretta.

Last year I got a Stainless PT1911. It is one of the best .45's I've ever fired. 4000 rounds through it without any sort of malfunction.

Everyone seems to love bashing Taurus; I have never had any problems with their pistols. I am sure that some of the bashers have had the problems they say, some have even probably actually fired a Taurus.

If you want the truth on Taurus, go to the forum for Taurus owners. They tell the good and the bad from actual experience. Google Taurus Armed, that'll get you to it.

I'm a member over there. I joined after I bought my PT145 last year and needed help.

So I agree; take a cruise through the "Taurus Complaints" section and maybe it'll cure you of wanting to buy a Taurus forever.

I have a 605 (5 shot .357) that works fine, with several hundred rounds through it.

That said, I won't be buying any more Taurus stuff after having problems with one of their semi-autos, which I promptly sold.

    taurus 941 22 mag

Taurus 941 22 mag. Never a problem with this handgun- sounds like a bit of snobbery from some of these posts.

I have 3 Taurus handguns: a Gaucho in 45LC, a PT1911 in 45ACP, and a Model 82 revolver in 38 special. The Gaucho has worked 100% and is VERY accurate and has a nice blue/case hardened finish. The PT1911 has worked 100% and has many "custom" features that you'd have to pay twice the sticker price for if you were buying a Kimber. The Model 82 I just bought yesterday so haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. It was a "used" police trade in, but it looks almost unfired, locks up rock solid, has no timing issues, good trigger, and a very nice deep blue finish. I got it for $220.

I've owned several, both revolvers and semi's, and never had a problem with any of them.

My PT92 will eat any ammo I feed it and never miss a beat.

Sadly there is a lot of that in the shooting community. Guns are not unlike cars. RESPONSIBLE people buy what they can afford.
