At home, it's a handgun.
In Germany, it's bad language.
Magazine <> clip - know the difference
martyr is a fancy name for crappy fighter
You have never lived until you have almost died. For those that have fought for it, life has a special flavor the protected will never know
Still talking the folks into permitting a firearm in the house, so for now it's a big knife and a bow....
"In EMS, death is our dance partner. We push it away, move it closer, move around it. Sometimes it leads, and other times it does not, depending on the skill of the dancer and the music being played." -Tracey Loscar, MCIP
If I am leaving the bedroom I want the handgun. If staying in the room and calling 911 I want the 12 gauge.
They don't call him lucky Ned Pepper for nothing
Glock 19 w/weapon light and 31rd magazine! In case I'm groggy and miss a few times!
Mossberg 500 Tactical with entry barrel, light and laser, and a sling. Putting together a Velcro belt with a soft pistol/light holster for the xdM, extra ammo for the 500, maybe a first aid kit. A Velcro belt would be easy to get on over pajamas.
Grab the pistol while retrieving the 12 ga. and/or SKS
I was tempted to say RPG. Throw those old D&D books at somebody- they can leave a nasty bruise
Sell not virtue to purchase wealth, nor liberty to purchase power.
If I'm leaving the room because I'm not 100% sure if some one is poking around I'm going for the shorty AR.
If I've heard breaking glass and the alarm is blaring then the 590 gets the nod. I'm staying put.
Both are in the little space on the wall between my headboard and nightstand when I turn in.

Preferably the 870 tactical loaded with 2X4 in the closet if not then the 1911 wih ns on the night stand and a six d-cell maglite better known as the equalizer.
First choice is my 1911 just because it is always at hand.
Difficult to answer because I have many guns but in this situation I would have to go with handgun - easiest to hold while manuevering around the house quickly and quietly.
