Used what you got! Nice job, Sir!

And the video intetview is a hoot!

81-year-old man hits suspect with frying pan

According to an arrest report, the armed suspect knocked Smith to the ground and took his wallet. Smith grabbed the nearest weapon -- a frying pan full of friend potatoes. Smith hit the man, knocking some of his teeth out with the frying pan. He then used a nearby pitchfork to stick the robber in the side

Once again,it is not the weapon you have, not the 'martial art' you know, not night sights or pretty knives, not big muscles either. It is what you have INSIDE that makes a person capable of defending themselves. This man has bigger stones than most of us.I am impressed.

Whatever is handy and works. And if you are too fearful of getting hurt or killed, you won't fight back. To fight back you have to first be mentally prepared for the fact that you might not win.

God having flash backs to my family first teaching me to fight.
"Okay pick up the heaviest hardest thing you can swing and just keep hitting" was the first thing I got taught. It wasn't till mom started the knife fighting stuff that I started to wonder....

No, we all joined the military. She spent a lot of time learning knife stuff after a guy went around her base slashing up women, they actually had a several weeks class on knife defense and offense for all the women on post.
