Man Shot At Front Door Of Home
People just don't go up to someone's front door and randomly shoot them and flee. If it was a random robbery, they would have gained entry and finished their intended task.
This seems like some sort of retribution. At least on the surface.
In other words, the homeowner was probably involved in something, or with someone he shouldn't have been.
Years ago, 4 guys (who one knew the guy well & the other 3 had met and been around him many times) decided to rob this guy who had a house in the country. They thought he probably had a lot of money there. So, they went to his house at 11 p.m. at night and knocked on the door, guns in hand, and were going to rush the door the minute he started to open it at all.
Only problem was, the guy answered the door (due to being so late) with a .45 cal semi-auto in his hand. When he saw one of them point a gun into his face and start pushing on the door..... he stuck his hand up and started firing. Three of the BG's were dead, and one was seriously wounded. The home owner, was fine.
It all happened with a few seconds. What people need to understand, it typically all happens in a few seconds.
It was good he was prepared. A gun in the holster, may not be much good.
Amen to that brother. If any homeowner is prepared for such events and is armed when they answer the door, stands an excellent chance of surviving. He has the element of surprise. If the intruders were expecting an armed resistance, they wouldn't have attempted what they did. Or at least that method of entry.
Push in robbers and home invaders are not expecting to meet immediate armed resistance. They are expecting to be the ones with the element of surprise on their side, and not the other way around.
You guys are making me feel good about answering the door with a gun in hand but out of sight.
Facts, we need facts. The saying that a guy just got shot at his front door really doesn't say much until we know all the facts.
There could be a multitude of reasons why this happend. Could be a robbery gone sour. Maybe retribution or attempting to eliminate some type of competition in the drug trade.
The story seems too vague to make a resonable conclusion.
