I have 3 dogs. Yesterday, when I was out with them in the backyard, the small rescued Fox Terrier (who is the key one to alert me when I'm in bed ) starts barking. Her bark would not be taken as much of a threat , but my 2nd started barking.... and the unnkonw guy on the other side of the fence in the alley, said "oh, a bigger dog" ...... when my newer GS heard the person, she did a deep threatening bark, he left in a hurry.

She is my EWS and dont let her looks fool ya, she is very loud and obnoxious if you walk on her turf UNLESS you are carrying a tennis ball... she will absolutely zone in on a tennis ball...lol. I may not be helped if a robber shows up in tennis gear and throws her a ball but minus the tennis ball, she hackles up, growls and barks like a maniac.Maggie1.JPGMaggie2.JPG

My Mongrel would love her :) He's a wild, dangerous creature. He's awesome though, never really barks, but has this little warning "woof" that he'll do before he gets worked up to a real bark. If you're awake and paying attention, it alerts you without alerting whoever has his attention. If you don't notice, pretty soon he gives this disproportionately deep bark that makes everyone take notice.

I'm sure your neighbor loves being challenged on his own property. You have a nice-looking dog, but having been the neighbor in a similar situation, being barked at by a neighboring dog every time I dared to step into my back yard pissed me off every time and induced me to consult local nuisance ordinances.Originally Posted by Nicegy525

We are fortunate to be surrounded by dog lovers/owners on all sides. Sambuca actually doesnt bark at people through the backyard fence, but she does like to chase the neighbor kid when he runs away (which is why she doesnt go out front off leash anymore)
Lately the neighbor's cat has been coming over for attention which gets our two cats and the dog excited.
