    It's called the deadbolt and the security chain; the latter onlybeing good for enough noise for one to realize the door is getting opened with force. If wife, kid and I are in the room; deadbolt is in uses!

    I've seen these things advertised and I need to pick one up. They are an actual door stopper with a loud alarm. Door starts to open, stop wedges the door closed and a piercing alarm goes off. For the life of me, I can't remember where I've seen them...
