    Exclamation Smash and Grabs at Daycares in AM: Attention

    There is a rash of B&E's into cars at daycares while Mom takes kiddo(s) inside. Denver and Centennial Colorado Police have several such B&E's. The thieves wait for a car to pull in, and while Mom is taking the kiddo inside, the thieves B&E and clean out purses, phones, and anything else handy.

    Typically early in the AM, Mom is distracted and in an area heretofore perceived to be safe, may even leave the purse, etc. and may not even lock the car.

    Just shows SA and personal security must be maintained constantly in this world. Damn shame. At least the Moms and kids have all been unharmed to date, inasmuch as they have been inside the facility.

    You would be surprised how many people will leave a car running unlocked with their stuff in it.This is also why carrying in your purse or off body in the car is IMHO a bad idea,if somebody leaves their gun in a purse in an unlocked vehicle and somebody steals their purse,they now have a gun you just gave them

    I really freaked out when I moved to Rural ND. People would leave their car running keys in the ignition while in the cafe for coffee (an hour maybe). Rifles, shotguns and pistols laying on the seat.

    all to save five minutes, the lose of a car,money and or a gun in a handbag is just not worth it
