No tears for slain Edmonds burglary suspect

Judging from the comments left by readers at the Seattle P-I.com and KOMO websites, not too many people are sorry that a honeowner in Edmonds fatally shot a burglary suspect Tuesday evening.

A witness near the scene said he heard four gunshots coming from the house, but officials haven't confirmed that.—Seattle P-I.com[/url]

All we can hope for is that all four shots hit CoM...

Poor victim selection. I hope it's an epidemic!

At some point in the future, maybe most of these scum bags will decide to get a job that is less likely to result in death. For now, good shooting on the part of the homeowner.

This was 5 miles from my home. I carry at home because of the recent history of burglaries over the last four or five months. At one point I believe there were more that 200 burglaries in a 60 day period. Most of which were daylight events.

It's a tragedy that it had to happen. Life is precious, it's always sad when someone dies. But it appears to be completely justified so it's hard to be too upset by the outcome. I wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger but I also wouldn't like it. I still have to live with the fact that I took a life.

If you have a 54" flat screen mounted on the wall with the curtains open, would that be considered "baiting"

If the scumbags parent can sue for wrongful death in court, why can't the victim sue the scumbags parent for property damages and the cost of the bullet(s)?

After reading some of the comments it looks like the guy may have been drunk and tried to force his way into a house that he though was his.
Sad, but if you are the home owner and don't know the situation, you have to act in your own best interest.

The guy was probably drunk and got worked into a rage because he couldn't get into " his house" then kicked his way in.... fatal mistake.

Only if it's a back lit LED, plasma just isn't worth the effort.

    I like dead offenders.
It is surely true that you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink. Nor can you make them grateful for your efforts.
