I was doing some research to put some emergency type panic button on my wife's iPhone. I saw two apps that look interesting.
Safetygrid which will email 5 contacts with your gps (free)
On call defender - connects you to a monitoring station and will call police with your location.
Is anyone familiar with any others or have these?
Both sound interesting. My wife and I have phone tracker on ours,(99 cents each) that way we have a chance to find our phone if lost, or if I'm out somewhere and get injured maybe someone will find my body, that is if the battery will hold up. Those GPS apps have the tendency to gobble of battery life.

I went with Safetygrid. It alerts multiple people in multiple ways. You also can test it.
Flaircaster is another one I've used before. If you dial 911 it sends out a text message to up to five numbers and can include your coordinates.
