Angry This is what's happening around NC lately....home invasion

The police are only minutes away when seconds count. These are the criminals our dept. had to deal with and judges and lawyers would just smack their hands, turning them loose back on the street. I say stand armed and ready, this is why states are letting the good people carry concealed because police can't be everywhere to protect us. Read this crap and the past records of these dangerous dudes.

I enjoyed reading the article and good information. I hope the homeowner makes a good recovery and not be subjected to the "Good Kid Syndrome" that is being inflicted towards true victims.

Hats off to the residents for putting up a good fight. Hopefully the two who weren't
killed will get some significant jail time.

It's scary that these thugs don't care if you're home and break in. We've had some strict talks with our kids about answering the door by asking who's there BEFORE opening it.

I must say that the bark of my two German Shepherds at the door keep all folks at bay. They're a big help in deterring BGs.

Just when they were turning their life around too! I'm sure the jury will have compassion after hearing of their unfortunate childhood, single crack momma household and poverty stricken life. I'll bet their good boys at heart and just made a few bad choices. The prisons are filled with good intensions gone bad. I wish our judicial system was not so harsh on people who just made some bad decisions in life. Hopefully, the Momma will get a good chunk of tax payer money on the wrongful death suit that will surely be filed.

Apparently NC doesn't have a "three strikes law".
What a shame, thats a pair that could/should be doing life.

Hope the homeowner recovers fully. Glad he took out one, too bad he couldn't take the other two out as well.

North Carolina doesn't even have a 30 Strikes Law. All our prison sentences (with the exception of life without parole and death) are measured in months, if that tells you anything.

I'd be surprised to see either of the suspects get more than 8-10 years, even if they are convicted of everything. Or, as we say in NC, 96-120 months.

A perfect example of having all the crime we're willing to tolerate. Maybe not the bunch on DC but collectively as a society.
