Man Holds Wife Hostage
Police in Spokane Valley were reportedly able to negotiate with a man who was drunk and armed, after he held up in home for nearly 9 hours. It has been reported by police that the situation began as a domestic violence incidence when they were notified that a female was being held hostage in the basement of her home. According to police, the woman’s father called 911 after his daughter informed him that her husband, Justin Chance, 31, would not allow her to leave the home and had a gun in his possession. The daughter alleged that the husband had placed furniture up against the door of the basement, locking both of them inside.
Police reportedly talked to the man for about a half hour and were able to convince him to release his wife who then informed them that Chance had several allegedly loaded guns in his possession and had indicated that he would use them. The police then reportedly used CS gas to evacuate Chance from the home and after he refused to follow their orders, shot him with a 40mm bean bag round. Chance was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Assault and Unlawful Imprisonment.

Nothing wrong with this story, except the wrong ammo choice! I've got no use for someone who mistreats their wife. Drunk and armed should not go together.
Only 40mm round we had for people in the Military was a Multi Personnel round...think buckshot out of sumpin like a 2" barrel
