It's not about what others could have done, really, as history's past. It's about learning what one might do in similar circumstances. Those unaware of history are doomed to repeat it, in a very real sense. To that end, I would think that discussion is worthwhile, for those seeking to understand what others' experience and thinking might bring to the table.

near as I can tell from reports, 10-12 minutes... 1st 911 call supposedly came 9 minutes after the shooting started... LEO on scene within 3 minutes... Perp was outside waiting for LEO and surrendered.
