GunVault on the nightstand less than a foot from my hand.
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
No need for gun in the bedroom. Either my better half or I are on watch and carrying while the other sleeps. Someone is always awake and armed in our house, 24/7.
STAY SAFE.
Only my wife is to know where that is!.................Oh, that gun!
Seriously, I keep my primary in a rapid-access gunvault right next to me.

Very quick access in complete darkness is very easy. Firearm is loaded with one in the pipe and the kids in the house are safe.

I keep an AK with a drum mag under the pillow.
Kidding of course. I just keep the pants I was wearing that day within reach with the gun in the holster.

Honey, wake up! It's your watch man!
As we used to teach in the spook business, carry a 25 if it makes you feel good, but do not ever load it. If you load it you may shoot it. If you shoot it you may hit somebody, and if you hit somebody - and he finds out about it - he may be very angry with you. -- Jeff Cooper
I have a nightstand that has a drawer and is open underneath. I keep a gunvault under there to keep my daughter's hands off.
Walk softly ...
No kids in the house, so it sits in a loose holster attached to the nightstand located so a simple reach puts my hand around the grip. Tac light sits on the nightstand as well. During the day, she resides in a safe. Been looking at those magnetic holders that I've seen advertised....looks like good option for laser-equipped weapons. Anybody used one?

One on the nightstand, one in the nightstand drawer...I can reach in the dark and the grip is in my hand...I can also see the Trijicons looking at me!

.45acp, 9mm, flashlight, & combat knives accessible w/o getting out of bed. I have to put my feet on the floor to reach the 12 gauge.
I've recently added my M91/30 to the bedroom due to the neighborhoods new roaming meth addict. I sleep on the wall side, so I can reach down and grab the sling through the space between the mattress and the wall. He's a really big dude. Maybe 6'6" and 300/300+? 3 inches and 60 some pounds more than me. Not sure even my Kimber would drop him. My softball bat on the other hand...big smile on my face right now.
Biometric safe next to the bed. I have 2 small children.
