On my nightstand within reach, dog sleeps on my side of the bed as an early warning system, she just loves to meet and greet people, no danger, but she does let you know when someone is coming. Also one in the top dresser drawer on the wife's side of the bed.

12 ga behind the bedroom door, loaded of course, 2 medium sized dogs for early warning, and a G30, with 3 mags, in the nightstand next to my bed. I say dont stop over without calling, is that wrong?

Nope.
I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.

out of sight on nightstand G23 with night sights...
I would rather live my life as if there is a God,
And die to find out there isn't, than live my life
As if there isn't, and die to find out there is.
God Bless
