I keep a Surefire 6PX Pro with a Surefire Combat Ring next to my bed. It has hi/low, 200 and 15 lumens. I carry a cheap $10 200 lumen flashlight everyday. I put two little pieces of tread tape on to aid when I'm holding it between my fingers in my left hand if I am holding my gun. At night the cheap flashlight is right by my Surefire. I attached pictures of how I hold the flashlight in my weak hand. You'll have to pretend my strong hand is underneath since I can't hold it and take the picture.

I like having two lights, because my Surefire always has fresh batteries, and I use my EDC flashlight at night after I turn off my lights. No sense in turning lights on all around the house to grab a glass of water or run to the bathroom or something.

A $4 LED mini flashlight that was displayed on the counter at CVS. It doesn't really have a focused beam, but it lights up the entire room pretty well.
I'm only home at night 2 nights a week, and I'm usually awake. Haven't felt the need to purchase a nice $200 light.

I have a TLR-1 on my M&P45 and a Streamlight Polytac as well. Sometimes I need just a light, not a gun. But for when it comes to using a light with a gun, I prefer my light to be attached.
