For me it’s a SureFire X400 light Laser on my PPQ with a SureFire 6P LED in my nightstand V-Line. My EDC light is a SureFire LumaMax LX2. If it MUST work, when I NEED it, then I use SureFires.

4D maglight(also acts as an effective club) on the floor by the bed and a Fenix TK15 on the nightstand.

Ok, this thread made me change my M.O.. I really haven't carried a flashlight everyday, but have had MANY uses for one during my daily duties. So yestrday I figured, since I have a few flashlights, why would I not carry one. (I have a 3cell maglight that stays in my truck.)
Well, I then realized the cost of 123a batteries.... so, I went out and (after much searching) finally found a CR123a charger and rechargable batteries for a really good price and now I'm set. I don't have to worry about going broke when I use the light.

Now, I have a 500 lumen EDC Surfire companion thats guarenteed to brighten my day... or night!
    Thank you for the post.

Surefire L-5 Lumamax. slightly out-dated now - only 100 lumens for 2 hours. too big for EDC, but it's solidly built and i got it for a good price. flashlight technology is advancing quickly.
