Recommend: Intercom for Home Entry Way
Anyone have a recommendation for an entry way intercom system? I'm talking old fashion speaker and a button style so you can communicate with out having to open the door. And of course without have to shout through the door.
I'd figure with walkie talkies, cell phones, face time cameras and wireless everything that the technology has go to exist for someone to make a decent one.

There are various ways by which intercom can be modified. But it needs an expert's advice. You just have to look for a good website for real estate and follow the tips given there.

I just got the Chamberlain system (1 base and 1 doorbell/intercom).
The two units are about 100 feet apart (wireless).
You can have up to 3 total intercom/doorbells with the 1 base.
4 AA batteries per unit (supposedly last 1 year). Pairing the base and intercom is easy.
There are several sounds you can choose for the doorbell (I used the default ring tone).
Very, very easy to install and set up.
I paid $79 for the base and doorbell unit (together) off ebay. Did not come with batteries.
It works well, and seems like a fair price for the kit.
