Christian. He was a "mall ninja" sort, believing the myths and rumor (aka, his religion) that have kept him relevant.

If he's an "instructor," then I'm a SpecOps tactical warfare expert on steroids. Good news is, he instructed you on what you needed to know: get better instruction. Kudos to him, for that at least.
When I go next week I think I'll get him to teach me the appropriate way to carry my CWP badge and expandable baton.

People of Walmart are people too. Not only that, but they save money and live better, or so I'm told.

Given the chance, people that know (very little to nothing) will regurgitate everything they have heard on a subject. In a very short time!

A brilliant description of the constant tension in the life of a true believer. "Turning the other cheek" as applied to Gecko45 as a gun salesman.

Keep up the good work, Preacher!

I'm a business owner. If one of my employees is giving out bad information, I want to know about it so I can take corrective action. Contact the owner & let him/her know.

    ArmedPreacher.

I bought the Ruger LCR in .357 magnum for my wife last October as a birthday present. She absolutely loves it and even shooting a few .357 rounds she handles it like a pro. The best features would be the lighter weight, ease of concealability and the sweet cam-assisted trigger pull that is smooth as glass.

I highly recommend the LCR in .357, and ignore the instruction of the dude selling it. He obviously knows little about shot placement and stuff.

I tend to call BS on guys like this and let them know it. If he were an instructor, I'd ask him to provide proof of this .357 capability, not repeat legend, and to state the SC statute that limits one's SD to 20 feet or less. By not calling him on it and making a fool of him in front of others, you allow him to continue spouting his self-declared myths.

I agree with oldvet, call him out on it. DaGunny has a good point as well. The next person he "educates" may not have a knowledgeable person to set them straight, hence perpetuating the spread of misinformation.

I'm glad to know of a lady that has experience with one and likes it, and I'm sure Mrs. Preacher is going to be more confident in her decision as well. Thanks.

Touche...I do that very thing to preachers who aren't biblically accurate when they speak to my congregation but failed to do the same with someone giving out inaccurate info for personal defense. I will reload and take another shot at it.

    It never ends.

I was picking up my son's 22 magnum from the LGS last night, and the pot-bellied guru behind the counter spouted off that my son needn't mess with anything less than a .45. And then... yes... and then he actually said it: "one shot from a .45 will stop anything".

One roll of the eyes and I was out the door. I can only take so much.
