i can grab my gun easier than i can scratch my, you get it. same here cause of the scenario and others i keep my gun tucked into couch where i always sit in a holster and when i go take a shower comes with me and sits next to shower on a shelf, go to bed comes with me and sleeps under my pillow or in my night stand about 6 inches. and about three steps away from my bed is my rem 870 loaded with 6 00 buckshots and 6 more it its sidesaddle. a gun is a mans best friend, like a dog keep him full of food and he will keep u safe
Right here with me.:shootin::yup:
My shotgun is down the hall in the bedroom loaded and ready to go. I have a Glock 19 and two spare magazines on my hip to help me reach the shotgun.

I was wondering what others did while showering. Living alone, I typically leave my EDC on the back of the toilet while showering. There have been times where I would be half asleep while showering and thought I heard someone come into the house. Nothing like a little adrenaline in the morning to wake you up, LOL. If you really think about it, being in the shower with water blasting in your face and around your ears leaves one pretty vulnerable IMO.
Mine is right here. My perimeter alarm is on. My home dates to 1910 & it is built like a stone fort.
My outside door is 2" of solid oak and no BGs are kicking that door in or the door frame.
But, if they did somehow manage to get through that door - they then end up in my vestibule and get to meet my second oak entry way door which is also locked.
Meanwhile...at that time my alarm is going off and for them that is the sound of the Gates Of Hell swinging wide open to welcome them.
Always have one of my guns within easy reach (couple of feet max)
It's right here, with me. No distance at all.
But then, I don't live in a stone fort with double layers of 2"+ oaken entry doors like QK.
Within arms reach. Great thread
Dang it, now ya made me go open my safe cause my EDC is in the bedroom on the nite stand..
within arms reach
Well, no one is just kicking in my doors. Solid oak front door hanging on steel reinforced door jambs, with reinforced hinges and security dead bolts. The other exterior doors on my home are steel doors on the same steel reinforced steel door jambs and hinges.
Right now I have a Ruger LCP in my pocket because it's always in my pocket. An AR-15 is propped up against a shelf of DVD's at the end of the sofa about 24 inches away from where I'm sitting.
They have to get past my Presa first.
within arms reach
About twenty feet. I'm halfway between my front door and my gun. Guess the crooks and I would have even odds :/
