    Question Invisible gun hideout with instant access for home defense and for child safety.

    Cut a 12" x 12" hole in your dry wall behind picture.

    Hang revolver in thin plastic wrap.

    Replace dry wall, plaster and paint.

    Punch wall when needed and grab gun.

    This idea came from "In case of fire break glass".

    Why not just leave the hole covered by the picture instead of replacing the drywall? That way you only have to move the picture.

    Take basic idea.

    Seriously over-complicate.

    Add two or three extra steps.

    Add six hours of tinkering in the shop.

    Solve problem that didn't exist!

    One of my sons purchased a clock for his apt. living room.....it has a space behind it for a gun hide away.....I havn't seen it yet so I can't really comment.

    ...miss hole, hit stud, break knuckles. Now can no longer squeeze trigger to shoot bad guy. Throw gun at him and hope for direct temple hit that knocks him unconcious.
