Argument for Open Carry at Home/Property Along Southern Border (bigger the better)

Title of Article: Mexican Army Troops INVADING Arizona, Shooting at U.S. Citizens (News Video)
Hat Tip: Guns Save Lives . com
Based on Investigative TV Report from Apr 30th: N4T Investigators: Rogue Mexican Army troops crossing the line

My Comments: If you land a Mexican Military Helo on my US Property, and a bunch of armed Mexicans storm out of it, expect an unfriendly, who is armed. Especially in TX or AZ (not sure what the more Anti NM or CA hacks are doing - has to be worse there as far as Carry). Note: Since this is a couple of months old - not sure if posted before. Did not find so, but I may have missed it.

Question for people having property or ranches on the boarder............. how are you coping with home defense? Especially since some ranchers have lost their property by legally defending themselfs, but the US and Mexican Gov's sued them.

.....Reports obtained under the federal Freedom of Information Act show that members of Mexico's Army have crossed into the U.S. at least 300 times over the past 18 years.

.....But reports show that across the entire border, soldiers have driven into Texas, landed helicopters in Texas' Rio Grande Valley and encountered Border Patrol agents within the United States.

Wished more of the things that go on made the news, when I was there I knew people down on the border that when the sun went down the house turn in to a fortress with heavy steel grate doors and windows and re-enforced walls. After awhile the females and young ones left and the 3 oldest sons, Dad and uncle stay to try to protect land that had been in the family for 150yrs. All this happened while on the news the powers that be were saying the borders were safe. Where we lived we had drug farms within 5miles of our house in central Az and it was getting worse, glad we moved up here on Ghost Ridge.

Do I need to spell out exactly how I would respond? Good cover and spare magazines would be involved. I have no problem repelling an invading force.

Heck, if your aim is good, you might get a free helicopter out of it!

I didn't watch the video, but I've flown a good bit right on the border. There are several airports very close. It's easy to stray over if you aren't watching, also a VERY big deal with the FAA. I've also flown with Mexican police and they aren't as careful as US pilots because they aren't going to get their license suspended if they mess up by a 1/4 mile.

Also, it's not always easy to tell who's on the ground, and unlike us, Mexican cops tend to shoot first and ask later. And of course many are corrupt and I wouldn't put it past them to provide air support to the cartels.

My SO's mom works for the govt and lives just a few miles from the border. What do I carry down there? M4 and a 1911.

This seems to be an impossible thing , why has it not been on the news ??? or has it . The border states Residents and Homeowners have to be beside themselves .

This is an act of war IMO

Jose' Doroteo Arango Arambula (aka - Pancho Villa) tried it once in 1916. No less than General John J. "Blackjack" Pershing chased him unsuccessfully for nine months, only to be called back to D.C. for the U.S. entry into WWI. Villa was eventually assassinated by his own political faction in Mexico. We just need to TAKE all the territory down to & including the Panama Canal, then be done with this nonsense. And loose our jailed Marine, Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, as we go down. Why do we molly-coddle international thugs who hate our guts?!?

To each their own, but I don't see much future for a lone gunner engaging a squad of soldiers armed with military weapons and having a helicopter at their disposal. Seems like a pretty good time for discretion to be the better part of valor.

Gone are the days of Reagan. When he was in charge a lot of this crap wouldn't have gone on. But, since we have a spineless jellyfish occupying that seat now we have to look out for ourselves and each other.

Agreed DA, yet my local International Trap Team could surely rattle-up a low-flying helicopter. Then duck, cover and trust there's a few Texas Rangers (maybe even Chuck Norris?) making fast-tracks their way.

Heck, we've already taken the societal refuse off their hands. Now they want TEXAS (back)? Maybe Hamas and the Mexican Army use the same strategist?
