Well I read the whole thread...what was I supposed to learn? Was there anything someone could learn from me? Not really, because they dont know my home defense plan. But my answers reflect it all in place.

My (only) firearm is in my safe room (bedroom) where I would retreat to in a break-in. With my tactical flashlight and landline. Cell is next to me on couch and goes with me.

I cant be cut off between exterior doors and bedroom and have 2 dogs. 9mm is immediately accessible to me on nightstand shelf (no kids in home), there is concealment & actual cover in bedroom.

If someone comes to the door, I grab cell, run to bedroom and grab 9mm, then return to door, concealing gun.

Mostly I learned that most people still sit at desktop computers! Bummer. I go wireless all the way, and laptop (lg screen) and get comfy anywhere. Just kidding! But I do find it interesting.

At the point of obtaining a statistically significant number of respondents, some will learn the rough percentage of the self-selected group that tend to be near to defensive weapons even under ideal/safe conditions, as compared to which percentage do not. That's not to say the knowledge is of much value, IMO. You'll need to ask the OP, as it's his poll.

    1. Couch in my living/family room.
    2. No, pajama bottoms with pockets and draw string.
    3. Moccasin style slippers with a rubber sole.
    4. Kahr PM9 w/ 3 extra mags in a fast access safe less than three feet from me.
    5. Told you one, right by me. Another is in another bedroom safe 20 feet away. Another is in a safe upstairs.
    6. Two shotguns in the bedroom 20 feet away.
    7. Upstairs near HG safe.

In general I'm never more than 20 feet from a fast-access HG safe. Shotguns are for bedroom/bath barricade scenario.

Rifle is really for SHTF but also plays a HD role for upstairs barricade scenario.

Answering any of these questions would be a breach of security. However, I will say that I am prepared.
