Question regarding DAO as a night stand gun

Do not leave your gun in plain view when you sleep. How many times have you just walked up on someone asleep and they didn't even know you were there? Now the BG has YOUR gun!
I keep one gun in a case under my bed (1911 45), one in a drawer across the room on the wifes side for her (Beretta 9 w/ CT Laser) , and one in the top of my closet my primary with flashlight (M&P 45).
Why? I want my head to clear before I start throowing lead and if I get attacked in the bed I will probably end up on the floor next to my gun case. Thank you Mr. BG!
Good HD starts with layering your defenses, research that if you are unfamiliar with the idea.
BTW your weapon choice is EXCELLENT!

Rabbi, thank you for the kind words about the HK. I have a little yip-yip dog that will wake me up if a fly farts in the garage, so I doubt that I will not wake up. I'm active duty military and spent all 2008 overseas, so I am a VERY light sleeper.

BTW, my parents live in Hope Mills and we frequent the outlets often so I am in your neck of the woods alot.
