Thumbs up Sheriff's Dept interview tomorrow! (4/21)

During the middle of February I applied for a 9-1-1 dispatcher position with my county's Sheriff's Dept. There are 4 positions open and around 120 applicants were invited to the first round of testing. Only 56 were invited back to the 2nd round of testing and those who passed the 2nd round were given interview dates. I dont know how many people have interviews but it has to be less than 56. After the 4 positions are filled the will hold the ranked list of applicants for some period of time and continue to use it to fill open positions.

My interview is tomorrow in the early afternoon. I am mostly excited but a little nervous as well. My ultimate career goal is a LEO, but this is the first time I have applied for a position that was even career related. My father, his father, and my great uncle all retired from Columbus Fire so the whole civil service thing has always been something I've felt the urge to do. I've looked into dispatching, talked with people who have done it (my dad being one) and understand its a very high stress constantly multitasking job. I think its right up my alley.

I've always been told by employers that I am a good interviewer, so hopefully all goes well. Wish me luck!
