The U.S. Gov: giving parts of Arizona back to Mexico

The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service has closed large portion of Southern Arizona in and around the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge and all along the southern side of I-8 between Casa Grande and Gila Bend. This is 80 miles north of the Mexican border and its now off limits to American citizens!!

A reliable informant known to us as “Duck Hunter” has told the U.S. Border Fire Report that the Mexican Drug cartels now control large areas of Southern Arizona. According to the Pinal County Sheriff large areas in Southern Arizona are very dangerous and is off limits to U.S. citizens. Where is Congress and DHS in this new Mexican-American war that we seem to be losing?

According to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife this area is about 3500 acres in size. Our concern for public safety is paramount. The situation in this zone has reached a point where continued public use of the area is not prudent. The Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge has been adversely affected by border-related activities. The international border with Mexico has also become increasingly violent.

Assaults on law enforcement officers, U.S. Citizens and violence against migrants have escalated in recent times. Violence on the Refuge associated with smugglers and border bandits has been well documented.

Many of these activities are concentrated at the border and inland for 80 miles.

The concentration of illegal activity, surveillance and law enforcement interdictions make these zones dangerous. Closure is in effect until further notice according to Mitch Ellis Buenos Aires NWR Refuge Manager.

Concerned Citizens group say “there are now signs posted here in AZ just off I-8. No more camping south of I-8.
So, our government has surrendered and ceded part of Arizona to the smugglers and cartels of Mexico?

What do you think would happen if signs like this were to be found back East? But this is just backwater, flyover AZ so it doesn’t count to the media and Congress, I guess. Folks, this nation better wake up and pay attention. This is only the beginning of what you can expect in YOUR backyards. This is not an exaggeration: I stopped hiking some of my favorite mountains and canyons because of the smuggling dangers. Who wants to carry more guns and ammo than water in order to survive in the Arizona desert? That is what it has become. Maybe your state is next?

Duck Hunter said “How much land are we going to allow the Drug and Smuggling trade to take from the States.”

Here is another area that is “Officially” CLOSED This area is completely closed and has been for almost 4 yrs due to the violence of border issues.

We need to stop all the politically correct nonsense and treat the situation for what it really is, an invasion. I do not understand what is so hard about taking action on these issues. If there is an area bad enough that we have to deny access to American citizens then declare martial law, and send the troops in to deal with the situation.

Time to activate the national guard, anything moving inside is a free fire zone, launch predator aircraft and satellite imaging to detect the BG's then light their world up Time to send a strong message to Mexico and drug cartels/human trafficking,

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Absolutely 100% correct response!

No excuse for this, none!

Many of these activities are concentrated at the border and inland for 80 miles.
80 miles!!!! I can't friggon believe it! You travel 80 miles in NH, CT or VT and your in another State!

Someones doing a good job of keeping this stuff quiet!

And it's totally unacceptable. I have to stop now before I say something I shouldn't.

Our Government will wait until they take over Arizona and put signs around it, then it will be Texas and we'll put signs around it. Perhaps when we get up around North Dakota it will start to sink in!

I am stunned. How have we as a country become so impotent?

#38 ·
How impotent are we becoming?

Southern states being invaded by alien predators.

Florida has an estimated 150,000 Burmese Pythons on the loose. They are destroying the natural balance of wildlife in every part of the state as well as posing a threat to livestock, pets and even humans. Monitor lizards growing both in number and size are joining the pythons as another major threat. Feral hogs numbered in the millions are devastating wildlife and agriculture throughout the South.

When one of these menaces is spotted what do we do? Send in a wrangler or an animal control officer with a lasso. Then what??? Release them somewhere else??? Euthanize them??? Are we becoming so politically correct that we can't see a dangerous threat for what it is and deal with it in a simple cost effective manner???

Time to recognize this for what it is, an invasion of epidemic proportions. Send in someone with a shotgun! Shoot the damned things! Announce open season with a bounty on them! Make belts, wallets, boots or pulled pork out of them!

Have we become so unwilling to defend ourselves, the country in which we live and our natural resources that we turn the other cheek at anything posing a threat?

We have threats coming at us from every direction and all that ever gets done is nothing.

If we can't control some snakes, lizards and hogs how the heck can we expect to stop any other kind of invasion?

Yes, we are becoming impotent. The cure may just be a dose of 12 gauge Viagra.

Dear Mexico,
May I have your permission to visit the state of Arizona, please?

:banned: that!

W. T. H? I am deeply saddened by this. Almost shamed.

I'd say that everything south of I-8 is a free-fire zone.

PID your targets and engage.

(that is, Positively ID your target)

The Gov't should provide the ammo....

Ya know, one of these days we are gonna wake up and see the AZ Governor on TV requesting help from armed citizens to come clear that area out and deputize them on the spot. Anyone got a BLU-82 "Daisy Cutter" laying around? How about eBay?

Maybe then the Fed's will get off their lame butts and actually get control of the border!

There are some C-130s sitting at D-M that can be used ;-)

Part of a country's sovereignty comes from the protection and respect of it's borders. There apparently is no respect from Mexico for our borders and our government seems unwilling to protect it or adequately protect it(no offense to the men and women of the Border Patrol). I wonder how Mexico would feel if we did a hostile military take over of their country? It's time to stop tip toeing around the issue and send a clear message: Respect our borders/laws or face consequences. If we provide aid to Mexico, cut them off. I believe in respecting other countries, but they should respect us too.

The only way to close off our borders is to close off the 'votes' in Congress...conservatives MUST gain control of Congress in November.:smoke23:

We can type away here all day, but our elected officials KNOW what is happening and refuse to act...sad days for our country.:hand1:

#107 ·
It'll have to be different conservatives than we've had so far. Remember this started in 2006 - under Bush. Both parties are to blame.

I think we need a president who knows the power of the US and isn't afraid to use it, and doesn't care if he/she p!sses people off in the process.

I would think so....afterall, the Fed border is also a state border and the NG would be defending state soverignty...

Northern Mexico is a narco state, we cannot treat it as part of Mexico, because the Mexician Government does not control it.

We should go after the drug and human trafficers, and address the problems in our own country that is supplying the demand to the narco trafficers

Northern Mexico is a narco state, we cannot treat it as part of Mexico, because the Mexician Government does not control it.
DING, DING, DING...WE HAVE A WINNER!!! :35:

The government of Mexico has no control of Northern Mexico. Police Chiefs, federal police, politicians, and journalists are killed arbitrarily and without fear of retribution or punishment. The Mexican government is unwilling and, more importantly, incapable of taking control of the area. Of course, they cannot publicly admit that in the international arena.

In my opinion, the first thing we have to do is take the restraints off of the brave men and women of the US Border Patrol and then allow them to do their job. Right now, they are hamstrung by the administration. The vast majority of Border Patrol Agents are capable and willing...they just need to be given permission to actually accomplish their mission. Additionally (still my personal opinion), every State Police agency, Sheriff's Department and police agency on the border should be receiving federal funds specifically devoted to hiring personnel to be assigned to border control duty. Finally (again, just my opinion), federalize the National Guard for Border Duty, however, not in the manner in which it is currently being done. NG troops currently assigned to the border are being used as "observers" only. Get them locked 'n loaded and let them actually secure the border.

We can continue to pour millions of dollars into Homeland Security programs, but if we don't secure our borders, it is all wasted money. The bad guys can walk right in and walk right out. What is the point of having an expensive alarm system on your house if you don't include the front and back door and then leave them unlocked?

Just my humble opinion,
Gonzo

This is insane. Check out this statement from the Pinal County, AZ Sheriff:

Sheriff - SheriffMessage - Message from the Sheriff

Armed foreign invaders control large parcels of US soil, and our government's primary concern is suing the state of Arizona over their efforts to repel this onslaught?

Seriously, what happened to our country?

Look at the photos linked from the Sheriff's page. It's a darn shame the aircraft or UAV that took those didn't have a Hellfire handy....
