Sounds like the police did their job. The officers didn't let the guy go, the vendor that refused to pursue charges and the person in charge of the gun show let him go. Officer can't make an arrest without a victim, and can't eject a person from an event without the person in charge of it asking them to eject him. (at least that's the way it works in my state)
I agree, at the least they should have been throwed out quick, fast and in a hurry!!!

You did a good thing! Don't let the laziness of our justice system ever stop you from doing the right thing. We have a society of full of complacent do nothings. I guarantee you that if you let just one of these side then it gets easier to turn your head and before you know it you become a do nothing.
