A pair of boots is $130 and $25 is donated towards The Lone Survivor Foundation and other veteran charities support programs for the returning soldiers.
he Boot Campaign is a grassroots initiative started by five women from Texas known as the Boot Girls. The Boot Campaign is a new way Americans can show their support for our active duty service members and veterans. This grassroots campaign has captured the attention of American celebrities and civilians – from professional athletes, politicians, country music stars and more – and is quickly gaining momentum. Money raised will support troops and veterans through the work of the Lone Survivor Foundation and other charities.
The Boot Campaign provides Americans with a tangible way to give back to our troops by buying a pair of combat boots and proudly wearing or displaying them. So “Get Your Boots On” to help show appreciation of our military heroes who serve and sacrifice everyday for our nation!

It's good when anyone supports our military and their mission...but....this kind of sounds like a way to sell a lot of boots.

I agree with Deuce. Kind of a strange initiative. And what's up with 90% of the people in the pictures wearing their boots untied? What good is a boot if it isn't tied?
All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

Well of course the idea is to sell boots... they say "put yourself in their shoes for a day." But the women who started it do not appear to be affiliated with the boot companies in anyway, other than this program.
I thought it was a neat idea.

I'm not going to judge this campaign since it does help those who serve...
But as a retiree...and the father of a soldier about to head off on his third combat tour...I can tell you the best way to help those serving today is to contribute to the USO...and according to my son, one of their best programs is so simple...USO in a Box
So, if boots are your style...the OP has a good way to spend some money and help the troops...THANK YOU!!!
If you just want to help the troops...please consider the USO...

My boots arrived today! Sorry I don't have any ACU's to go along with the boots, but they are properly laced! :P
