Exigent circumstances

The Supreme Court has never expressly articulated what the standard is for when “exigent circumstances” justify a warrantless search or seizure.

Court has now granted cert in a case that may lead the Court to finally clarify the law here:

It will be interesting to see what SCOTUS does with this.

Interesting indeed. While I'm usually all for getting another criminal off the streets, this one seems iffy.
