Accused certainly does NOT equal guilty. I am in total agreement. I am talking about those who ARE guilty and how they should be treated.

If we caught Bin Laden?? What would you pick... years in court and attorney fees and spend millions on trials where he may spend life in prison or FAST TRACK him into the lions den? (maybe a snake pit of vipers would be more appropriate)
Not everything is about money; Manson (who was "convicted) is in the hole forever because the SC struck down his death sentence. Once his death sentance was negated (and all others at the time), it could not be reapplied. As long as he's locked up, he's no threat to anyone. Let him rot there.
As for Bin Laden, years in jail and courts would be a lot more effective than his running around free like he is now (if you want to consider hiding in caves, etc. in those mountains "free."). In his case, he'd get a fair trial, right before he's hung.
