Hard to believe I was in for 200th, and that was just a couple of years ago Honest!

They usually put on a big feed here for the various service birthdays, last year we even got 2 beers apiece, but with the Marines gone I doubt that will happen again.

Well, its not a couple of hours past 0000 East Coast time, so it is officially the Marine Corps' 235th birthday.

Here is a link to the Commandant's Birthday message for all interested: http://www.marines.mil/news/pages/ma...XkmLhrmYzyNsIs

I think I'm going to go have two beers, one for me to celebrate, and one for all those poor leathernecks who are unable to have a brew to celebrate.

    Happy Birthday Marines!
Please take my posts with a grain of salt. I am frequently sleep deprived and always just on this side of "Krazy".

From a retired Flyguy....Happy Birthday to the Marine Corp, all past and present! Thank you for setting the standards for Duty...Honor...Country....
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
