Thank you 1st Sgt! Thanks to ALL our Military!

Your service to our country means so much that sometimes words fail.

I want to especially remember my Grandad who fought in WW I.

He had his complete uniform from that conflict. He would dress in it on special occasions and take me along with him to honour all our soldiers living and dead. I miss him.

Thank you to all who are serving I hope to stand next to you down range. I send a special thank you to the ones who are done serving though. Whether you did your 4 and got out or did your full 20 and fought over seas, you are what inspires me to fight today. If it was not for your sacrifices America may very well not be the country it is today. Thank you all.
Please take my posts with a grain of salt. I am frequently sleep deprived and always just on this side of "Krazy".

In answer to your question - Perhaps it is because the other wars did not have the likes of Hanoi Jane Fonda and Hanoi John Kerry running around with the American chicken symbol, plus Hollywood mischaracterizing the Vietnam veteran.

What the heck. We were then and now remain as tough as any. Out of my sense of forgiveness, the protestors, Hanoi Jane, and Hanoi John, have been elevated to the status of "trash under my feet." My heart is now focused on our present fighting men (and their parents).

All of us, I'm sure, fought in our individual wars in hopes that our sons, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters would not be called upon to spill their blood on foreign soil. Tomorrow we will celebrate another Veteran's Day, paying homage to all who served or are now serving. As we say, "All gave some, some gave all." I will never forget our POW/MIAs. May they be watched over and have peace wherever they are and whatever their fate. So tomorrow I salute those WARRIORS past, present and future, living and dead, my brothers and sisters in uniform, who've answered the call and will continue to answer the call.
