Court held on the High Seas
Amazing video!
From what I was told (in the email I received), this videotape shows Russian Navy commandos on a Somalian pirate ship shortly after the pirates had captured a Russian oil tanker.
The dialogue is in Russian, except of when a wounded pirate says something in English and the Russian soldier says "This is not a fishing boat."
I have been told that the Russian Navy freed the tanker, moved the pirates back to their own (pirate) ship, searched it for weapons and explosives, and then left the ship, and exploded it with all remaining pirates aboard.
I don’t understand Russian (if someone does, please update anything important).

Yep, speaking Russian, but definitely some use of English 'terms'...perfect high seas justice for pirates, if you ask me.

2 U.S. Navy Seal Snipers making simultaneous head shots from ship to ship on high rolling sea? 2 bullets seems a bit more efficient to me. Just sayin...

I am pleased at the way it was handled.

I'd just take their boat. They can swim home, can't they?

Those were great shots!
However, 1) did you count heads in this video and 2) in this case it was reported that the pirates were already on-board the tanker.

IIRC it was 3 snipers taking 3 targets simultaneously

Well who knows...could have just been one ambidextrous Seal with two rifles and they inflated the story to make the other seals on the team feel good
Seriously though, kudos to the Russians for doing what needed to be done.

If more hostage sittuations were handled like this, there would be a lot less hostage/pirate problems.
