A FB post from a cop-buddy of mine
I knew thing are rough out there, but a facebook post from a good friend of mine (a sheriff's depty.) caught my attention. I just thought I'd share........
Since Jan 1, 2011, 53 officers have been shot at, 37 were hit, 14 of those being in a 36 hour period (at least 5 from Florida), 10 have died and 2 remain in critical condition. To my Brothers and Sisters IN that thin blue line circle, stay alert, stay vigilant, stay strong, and GO HOME SAFELY EVERY SINGLE NIGHT
To ALL our first responders, ya'll be careful out there, watch yours (and you brothers/sisters) six's, get back from your watch safe and sound!

Way too many LEOs have been killed and/or inured by shooters already this year. May the rest of you out there stay safe at work and home.

Got this same post...one cousin is a WV State Trooper, the other is a DNR officer (fish and game), his sister is an FBI Police Officer, and I am a probation officer. Its has been a very bad year this year for LEO, hope and pray it slows down.

It's crazy out there, and I don't blame LEOs for being "cautious" in the extreme.

It appears the statistics don't bear out the idea that there is a war on cops going on.
