Border Patrol with Bean Bag Rounds????

The article indicates that some are saying that even the elite border patrol units, akin to SWAT teams have to use bean bags before deploying live ammo. Of course the border patrol is denying such an order exists/existed, it will be interesting to see what turns up over time.

And if you just can't bring youself to read/watch FOX, here is one from ABC. This one is even more interesting as it notes that the border patrol officials told Terry's family that no bean bags were involved and this was contradicted by the official reports. Smells like a cover-up.

I am surprised we can find sane, brave guys and gals to march into combat without the appropriate tools. To expect them to do so should be criminal. We get our folks killed to appease the Mexican government. This is nuts!!!

Here's an idea on how to fund the border patrol. Take the taxpayer money that is spent on giving illegals perks and redirect it to funding the border patrol. When the gravy train dries up here I would say that the influx of illegals would diminish.

I totally agree! We know there are armed combatants on the border, they are just not in uniform, but they are armed and ready for combat against our security forces, our ranchers, and anyone else who gets in their way.

I guarantee every Patrol Agent's handgun is loaded with .40 jacketed hollow points. The use of bean bags in a gun fight is an error, not a policy.

Why can't the BP comment on protocol ? Was this a policy not approved by command or was it commands decision outside of approved policy ? This reeks of a cover up just like the illegal weapons allowed into Mexico by the BATF.
