That must of been quite a fall to do all that damage.
Kind of hard to break both arms, and ankle, your nose, your jaw, maybe some ribs, get teeth knocked out, and get bruised and cut up, unless you fall in front of a moving car.

Warm and fuzzy story but when one takes a reality break you know it can't be true.
When ever I read something like this I always ask myself questions like........
Why would the cop write what could easily be proven to be a false report and throw his career away? Those Marines aren't going to pay his mortgage and his car note.
Why would four Marines risk their freedom and careers by beating the BG so severely? That's a quick route to a Big Chicken Dinner (and not the one from KFC) at minimum.
Does anyone think for a minute that the BG would not have lawyers lining up to take his case on this? And the Justice Department wouldn't be on this like flies on. . . . why?

I recieved this story in an email a while back. Although the "truth" has been embellished according to Snopes, it does make for a better story and is probably what most of us "wish" would have happened to the BG.
