Good grief, I wonder how many times he was hit? Talk about your worst case scenario for an LEO....

Did he ever call for back up when he found the drugs. Secondly, I think I would have shot the guy when he opened the passenger door and fail to get back in the car the first time. That was distraction so the cuffed guy could pull his gun. This is so sad, but glad he is ok.

This thread was closed for awhile while the moderators and I decided whether to leave it closed or re-open it. It was re-opened because the video was a little more complete than the last one posted (which remains deleted) because it made the point that the officer is still alive.

On the subject of videos, members should be aware that video links to some of the seedier websites will now be removed, as will especially grotesque or graphic video links. Believe me, I'm not a prude but some of the sites that host these things are not acceptable for many of our members. We will also not be allowing video links where the video graphically shows an officer being killed in the line of duty. I don't think it is fair to an officers family to have their death on display all over the Internet. If there are concealed carry lessons to be learned, we may grant exceptions, but I would recommend checking first before posting a video link....

Thanks Bumper, I couldn't agree with you more. The fact that the officer was telling the story and how lucky he really was made me post it. I Just wish I could have got the video only without the web site BS.

Wow, that officer should have bought a lottery ticket that day. I'm completely in awe that he managed to survive. I counted around 20 rounds that were sent at him ranging from point-blank to probably less than 5 yards. Scary.

Had that BG one more ounce of forethought, he'd have realized that a camera was likely on him ... and that the safest/best approach would have been to walk over to the LEO and end it. Good thing he didn't, as (yes?) this LEO lived to tell about it. A nightmare encounter, to be sure.
