May he experience a swift, scrupulously fair trial, followed by a ticket to death row.

Pennsylvania does have the death penalty but from what I have read they have only executed 3 persons since 1976.

This would be a good time to do # 4.

IMHO this is the type of case where the evidence is so overwhelming that the Killer is guilty, where after the trial and death sentence he be put to death immediately,I know if some POS did that in my neighborhood,I wouldn't be running around locking doors I would be grabbing an AR15 or my scoped AR10,and as soon as I had a shot end the threat

Very sad event. I won't even bother commenting on the POS.

Was mama charged too? From the article, it is not clear, but it sounds like she could have been part of a conspiracy to lure cops to their deaths.

If I remember correctly from the original account the mother had told dispatchers that her son had guns but for some reason this was not immediately relayed to initial responding officers.

Don't take that as gospel but I believe that is right.

I got that, she stated he had them, but he was not threatening her with them. It was not clear if she knew that he would threaten the cops with them, but based on his prior statements, she may well have been complicit. Not enough in the article to conclude either way.

If not the death penalty then the families of the slain officers should be allowed to have 5 minutes alone with the scumbag.

The had to pick a Jury from outside of PGH.
A local PGH Jury would have brought a rope and hanged the worthless skuzball right in the courtroom.

I wouldn't doubt that...our wonderful new dispatch system/setup has allowed us to go on numerous calls where the info of weapons or even shots fired wasn't relayed from the calltaker to the dispatcher to us, we almost shot a guy approaching a house where he had fired 4 shots at his GF's ex-husband (later found to be illegal-can't discuss details yet) and emerged from the garage with his Glock 19 in hand, split second from 2 of us opening up on him when he dropped it, I was extremely PO'd when we found out about it and my supervisor said all 4 shots were clearly heard on the 911 call and took it to dispatch center to "train" them

Can somebody confirm this? My Wife heard it on the radio on her way home from work. I have not been able to find it in print.

The officer that got shot in the face 4 times (R.I.P.) had not had the chance to use his firearm but, had he actually had the opportunity to return fire - his sideram (Glock) was not operational AKA it was determined that it would not have functioned.
