Care to enlighten those of us that don't get HBO?
Michael
I read the synopsis and the interview with the maker. I'm going to pass. It's all about "gun violence" and how there should be "new laws enacted to keep guns out of the hands of people who are most likely use them for violence." Hell, I might use my guns for violence, but in self defense, not to commit a crime.
A question from the interview: "HBO: All the evidence seems to suggest that more guns only make us more violent yet many people in this country believe that guns make us safer. What do you think that says about us a society?" et cetera, et cetera.
The documentary in summary is about "Gun Violence" and states that laws need to be imposed on gun control and that it focuses on the negative impact on firearms in society. Interesting to me as I am a newbie on the forum, to firearm ownership and living in the USA. Coming from north of the US border, Canada has different laws and the majority of my family and friends do not own firearms. Learning about the fight for the second amendment and the culture in which I am now living. All opinions are welcome, my stand point is to learn.
ahhhhh looks like time to fire off a strongly worded letter, and un-subscribe from HBO.
An anti-gun documentary from HBO?
I'm shocked, SHOCKED, I tell you!!! :biggrin2:
At least HBO has the best sports documentaries.
I haven't seen it, but if it was made by HBO you can rest assured that it's everything but truthful and objective.
