If you make an example out of them, these copycats wouldn't be so common.
None of this, years on death row writing books and doing interviews, making them famous. Just my $.02
True. Any deterrent effect from modern executions is largely negated by the ridiculous delays in carrying it out.

agreed on all above, it needs to actually be used as a deterrent, the way its carried out today is a joke

swift and painless....no cruel and unusual punishment.....I say bring him into a room, set him in a chair facing away from the door, and tell him his lawyer is there to see him.....then someone comes in the door without him ever seeing it and pops him with one round in the MO

If loose gun laws are good for criminals why do criminals support gun control?

The crime is completely irrelevant. "Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted." -The Constitution, Bill of Rights, Amendment VIII. It's a right, regardless of what one did.
The preceding post may contain sarcasm; it's just better that way. However, it is still intended with construction and with the Love of my L-rd Y'shua.

I still like my ideer of placing prisoner in special hydraulic powered seat facing sideways out of a Helo and launching it out at 1,000 feet altitude. In the case of illegals caught with multiple felonies against citizens like murder rape home invasions. Just...let them go OVER Mexico City with tattooed on their chests-Returned To SENDER.
