I've said it many times, career criminals and violent offenders who feed off innocent victims get the death penalty and not after 20 years of getting room and board. If these POS are too violent to let back into society then put them down like you would a vicious dog.I'm almost willing to bet that some of these Officer murders are gang initiations,Time to declare war on gangs, domestic terrorists whatever ya wanta call them,Dedicated Community snipers would take care of the gang problem, try to rob somebody and suddenly POP dead banger

Amen. I'm sick of this gang crap, and treating each incident as an individual crime. They don't even remotely look like individuals. They wear a uniform and I can spot them three blocks away. Our LEO's are hamstrung by a tangled snafu of laws and injustice system slanted to protect the perp. Even when they are caught and sentenced, the punishment is so light that they wear like a badge of honor. I have a solution, but it is .

While currently on the increase, this is not a new concept. Many of the people I worked with, including myself, drove with the seat back and their head behind the door post.

I'll bet you my carry gun that every one of these shootings was done by a BG with an arrest and conviction record. We need an island on to which we can deposit these undesirables permanently.
I carry to protect myself and my loved ones from the BG's. Not to solve societies problems. That said: if more carried the deterrent would only have a positive overall effect on those problems.

I keep mine all the way back against the cage....out of necessity since I'm 6'4" and the crown vic is still not big enough, but my head is mostly behind the door pillar

I agree in that the drug runners/dealers and gangs (most of the time the drug runners/dealers are gangs) are poison and detriment to our society.
Some will say the war on drugs is a waste of time and money, but these dirtbags are the ones causing a LOT of our problems in society, and we have to keep after them (but need to do more).

I told my wife a year ago that if the police keep shooting innocent people and don't cease with the brutality we see on the news, there will be retaliation. I really believe that's what we're seeing. When our police become like the criminals they arrest everyday, even the law abiding lose respect for them.

End the profit motivation and the incentive disappears. If the drugs are legalized, controlled, and taxed the black market withers. With it goes the corruption and violence. Just look at what happened when alcohol was made legal again. Look at happened when prosecutors stopped chasing porn producers for indecency.

Then again we could just borrow billions more a year to keep fighting a "war on drugs" that we keep losing. Elliot Ness didn't bring down Al Capone's bootlegging operations. The IRS and free markets did.

This mimics my opinion on the subject... The punishment doesn't seem to be much of a deterrent anymore. When we catch these idiots, we need to throw the book at um and the punishments should have teeth that will leave a lasting impression for others to bear witness from.

Smoke another and pass it around. Sorry to tell ya, but that's one of the most niave notions I've seen here in a while.
I suppose the terrorist are just trying to get "even" too, poor misunderstood youfs.
Look, you have to under stand the mentality of these criminals to even start trying to figure out the why's. Do you think the mafia was trying to retaliate against the police during prohibition? No... It's about power and containing through fear. That us what is happening today. The police are the only thing that stands between the gangs total control of the streets; to them police are just a rival gang.

I think most of the socalled inocent people you hear about were not so inocent . Look at the training you do to carry concealed for self defense, the police do alot more than we do ,if your are confronted by some inocent person on the street who happens to be having a bad day and decides his day was so bad he wants to make your day bad, maybe cause you accidently bumped him on the street, pulls a knife on you maybe with no intentions of killing you but how do you know that ,so what do you do ,draw and shoot to protect your life . Well the police are faced with that decision to shoot or not everyday of their lives and dont get paid squat to put their life on the line protecting you. So I think every body needs to quit paying so much attention to the media hype about these situations and relize what our LEO's go through everyday of there lives. You carry a weapon in fear of your life being taken and to defend that if possible ,they do too but the chance of you being in that situation is far less likely then it is for a LEO. Go back and do some research on the cases that made you feel this way and look past the media crap to see the truth. Maybe even share these cases with us here .
