    i don't want anyone to think this is police bashing, nothing like that, have utmost respect for those trying to do a hard job...

    thought this was interesting, followed this when it first happened, irked me about original circumstances

    I understand lots will say, 'you only filmed the part of the police beating the suspect, not what the suspect was doing just prior.' But that isn't the point. The issue was that is was illegal to record, and now it isn't.

    I think it should be legal everywhere. My only concern would be videos put out to the public with "creative editing".

    I agree and it seems like slander or libel laws should cover that. They are already on the books and they work.

    Too right!! If you organize the criminal acts of others, you should bear the criminal responsiblity. This would be the same principle as charging all involved in a crime with murder if anybody dies - even if it was not the plan.
