Retailers Increasingly Worried About 'Flash Robs' - WSJ.com
The National Retail Federation says that flash-mob attacks were reported by 10% of the 106 retailers it surveyed in July, a group that included department stores and big-box chains, as well as grocery and drug-store operators.
For the first time the trade association included advice for handling flash mobs in its recommendations to its members about controlling crowds during big events.
The 19-year-old suspected of organizing the (Sears) flash mob pleaded guilty in September to misdemeanor shoplifting and conspiracy charges and was sentenced to
two years' probation.

So, just another risk to be aware of. There's a bunch of common sense stuff here, but as an individual, I would just head for the closest exit asap.

Anybody besides me think that this current "mob mentality", whether it be Wall Street protestors or gangs looting stores, will be the wave of the future and we are just seeing the tip of the iceburg?
