There is no doubt he killed the LEO,just a buncha bleeding hearts trying to place the blame on him having mental issues,If that was the case he should have been locked up in a mental institution,There should be a law on the books that a death sentence must be carried out within a specified amount of timelike 2 years, there are people that sit on death row for 20 years, and it isn't until they get a death date that suddenly lawyers start filing for stays and other legal BS trying to get their sentence commuted to life in prison,A death sentence shouldn't take so long that the Criminal stands a greater risk of dying from old age rather than at the hands of an executioner

Sounds like the jury did the right thing, hope the Judge does also.

I agreed with that at one time--untill DNA evidense came along and freed multiple individuals proven to be not guilty. It could happen to you. If so, I'd think you'd be praying for time too.

I am for some type of time limit on carrying out a death sentence.

With DNA evidence now in wide spread use appeals should be able to be satisfied in a few years.

Cpl. Mike Roberts death sentence was carried out immediately by Humberto Delgado.

Even Delgados attorneys admitted he committed the crime.

In a case like this one Delgatos sentence could be carried out today IMO.

They contended Delgado had paranoid delusions of persecution, leading him to believe Freemasons, corrupt police officers, gangsters, rap stars and other malevolent forces were out to kill him and his family.

Now this dirtbag POS won't have to worry about the 'forces' out to get him...

Given he's bipolar with psychotic espisodes, even if the Judge agrees and gives him the death sentence, it will turn into a life sentence upon appeal. The weight has always been against the death sentence for children and those with serious mental illnesses. At least that's my bet.
