How it going everyone. Ok well here is somthing that has me going. Local sheriff department is very restrictive on use of pistols. It must have a decocker and a external hammer. That being said the sheriff picked only 3 weapons and those 3 are the: Beretta 92fs (9mm) , sig p226 (9mm), and hk usp (45acp)
what would you use and why?

Beretta 92, tough reliable and combat proven
And so when man and horse go down beneath a saber keen, or in a roaring charge of fierce melee you stop a bullet clean, and the hostiles come to get your scalp, just empty your canteen, put your pistol to your head and go to Fiddlers green. U.S Army Cavalry

P226, excellent track record, near perfect balance. The Beretta would be my second choice.

P226. What Sixto said.
But a warning! I bought a P226 once. Then a P228. Then a P220. Then a P225.
One Sig is never enough.
ETA: My old department issued Beretta 92D as their first issue semi auto. The issued ammo was the 147grain Federal Hydra Shok. We had issues with locking blocks breaking. This was back in the early 1990's so I would imagine the design has been modified since then, but I don't know for sure.

P226 simply because it fits my hand better than the others and the one I had was probably the most accurate handgun I've ever used.

Sig 226. Shot the Beretta while in the military, never was a fan of it.

The one you shoot the best with?
Reputation is great...performance is better.
Go run a bunch of drills, record time/score and chose the gun that you shoot best with, then train with it till it needs an overhaul from the factory and you have to use your spare (same gun, set up identically)

The only worthwhile opinion would have to come from someone having experience with all 3 pistols. Of the 3 my only experience is with the Beretta so it gets my endorsement for what it's worth. It's a fine pistol in my opinion.

The 92 is the only one I am really familiar with. However, I think I would like any of them.
Ignorance is a long way from stupid, but left unchecked, can get there real fast.
