He was a bully and he got what he wanted, I bet the kid that got punched in the nose doesn't feel sorry for him. Neither do I.
Why?? Because at the last second, the Police are minutes away.

Just a week or 2 a mother locally was on the news because a cop pointed a gun at her 16 year old son. Kid was carrying an airsoft rifle and wearing a ski mask in the dark when the cop responding to a shots fired call seen him. Maybe she should read this story. The kid with the airsoft rifle did comply and not aim it at the cop and both went home.

He was probably depressed about being fifteen in the 8th grade, and not passing this year either.

IMO, kids today have no sense of their own mortality. They think it's all a game and due to their age and presumption of ignorance they can get away with just about anything.. Dollar to a donut that this kid had no idea he was about to be shot and killed. Very sad that such a young man had to pay the price for being brought up in this day and age... Did he cause it himself, yes. Was his parents to blame, only they can know. Was he a troubled young man, obviously. Did he deserve to die, not IMO.

But they only told him to drop it three times and they didn't even count to ten.......

Very sad, I know nothing about this young man except what was written in the press. I suspect he was a very trouble young man, or he had special needs and may not have understood the consequences of his actions.

but it was just a pellet gun, always remember the police did not know it was just a pellet gun until after the fact. They acted on their best knowledge. I pray for all those involve espically the police, I believe the last thing they want to do is kill the very people they have sworn to protect.

Well, I know I didn't have (Playstation or Xbox) when I was 15, or a lot of other problems that our youngsters are dealing with in this day and age... Just saying.

I just sold a pellet rifle that could shoot a 22 caliber pellet at 1,000 feet per second. I killed many rabbits with it at 15 to 40 yards. It was indeed a deadly weapon. Even if the cops had known this was a pellet gun, it still should have been treated as a deadly weapon.

yep, cause that .22 caliber hole at the end doesn't say I'm a pellet....could be .22lr or magnum

sad that this happened, I feel for the family, he didn't deserve this in life, I wish there was some point where he could have been helped
I also feel for the officers involved, horrible decision to be forced to make, coming from someone that almost shot a teen in the same type of situation

Sad story,,,, but good kids can KILL POLICE.

Some people can not be talked out of killing THEMSELVES.
I feel sorry for the POLICE,,,,, they were in a NO WIN SITUATION.

If it is YOUR KID ,,,,, what could you do, say,,,, nothing,,,,

Suicide by cop, is WORST for the police,,,, hard to forget killing
    a young man

You are so right, the world comes at the kids much faster and many are not taught how to make good decisions. The influance they get as you point out is not the best.
