    Stay Alert, Stay Alive. Thanks for the reminder, I always wear my vest (and trauma plate), back up pistol, and a healthy dose of situational awareness...I'm fortunate that most of my fellow deputies are tactically sound, and we try to back each other up. In addition I stay in shape, and keep my uniform sharp, (prior military, I can't abide a sloppy uniform). I've read research that states, criminals have actually selected which officers they attack, based upon how alert, and "together" the officer appeared. God bless, and stay safe!
